Essaouira

The blue and white town, is a small city in the south of Morocco close to Marrakech and to Agadir. It has ramparts that feature the protuguese and moroccan architectural style combined. Its Old Medina is known for its narrow shopping streets that run past the CLOCKTOWER and the GREAT MOSQUE and into the square of the BAB EL SEBAA; the best way to see Essaouira is on foot as you can see intresting gates and windows with intricaly carved decoration. Unlike the developped ports in Morocco, the port of Esaaouira still keep its authenticity with blue colored boats and nets piled up on the quaryside, Not to forget the beautiful long sandy beach that Essaouira has.
